So how did Honda motor company gain the attention of the international market? During the 1960’s Honda started manufacturing motorcycles. These motorcycles were exported throughout the world and people loved them. These bikes had Japanese reliability, and had a sporty feel to them. They were more reliable, fuel efficient, cheaper to maintain and cheaper to purchase than any other bike. Therefore, people wanted to invest in something that’s more reliable and efficient. These great features had a negative effect on other motorcycle manufactures, which were unable to compete with Honda and eventually went bankrupt.
